Lunges are an Active8me favourite! Mainly because they are a compound exercise. This means that they work multiple groups of muscles at the same time. Doing lunges correctly will have you feeling that good ‘burn’ in your legs (quads and hamstrings), your butt (gluteal muscles) and your core! 

The other bonus with a lunge is that it can be static or dynamic. This means you either hold the lunge and use your glutes and core for balance OR you complete a walking or jumping lunge where you raise your heart rate at the same time!
