Get Lean and Toned – 10 Simple Rules for Clean Eating

Active8me-10-simple-rules-for-clean-eating

Want to get lean and toned? Want a more principled way to eat and guidance to nourish your body with healthy, nutritious food?

The good news is that it is absolutely possible – just use these rules as a guideline to help you. This may require you to do some changes. Perhaps they may be small changes or perhaps it might require you to turn over a whole new leaf. In either case, it will be worth it.

At Active8me we believe that no one ever regrets eating healthily. We believe that eating well is not extreme – it is essential. We believe that you can eat healthily and still have food that tastes absolutely delicious.

Eating clean will help you look lean and toned, but more importantly, eating clean keeps your body healthy. Without our health we have very little. You can’t buy your health or live life to the full if you’re not healthy.

So take a good, long look at that fast-food cheeseburger and that oily plate of fried noodles. How many artificial colours, flavours and preservatives are in there? How much oil and salt have been generously added in? Do you really want to eat that? Are you sure that is the best decision for your health and how you look? Instead, why don’t you make a healthy choice by going back to basics and eating wholesome food in its most natural and unprocessed state. Natural foods with minimal processing and without chemicals and artificial ingredients. Foods that don’t have a label and foods our great-grandmother would have recognized as food. Whole foods!

To help you make those changes and eat clean, here’s 10 rules to follow:

  1. Forget diets and dieting. Clean eating is a lifestyle – just part of your everyday life.
  2. Start small with clean eating food swaps.
  3. Choose whole foods.
  4. Load up on fresh produce.
  5. Focus on nutrients and food quality, not just calories.
  6. Learn to cook for yourself, and a tip when you cook – cook once, eat twice!
  7. Being prepared helps save you from poor food choices.
  8. Drink more water.
  9. Learn to read food labels and avoid foods with artificial ingredients you can’t pronounce.
  10. Reduce added sugars.
